Monica Toews BrownDirector & Principal Consultant
Monica is a highly experienced safety professional with more than 20 years of practical experience across industries including civil construction, rail, power, water, building, maintenance, manufacturing, and communications.

With a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), Monica brings a strong understanding of human behaviour, communication, and leadership to workplace health and safety. Her approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in operational realities, helping organisations develop safety systems and processes that work effectively in the field, not just on paper.

Monica has extensive experience in auditing and inspections, risk assessment workshops, WHS system development and implementation, mentoring, training, and incident investigations using methodologies including ICAM. She is known for her strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly across all levels of an organisation.

As Director and Principal Consultant at Red Insight, Monica leads the delivery of practical WHS consulting services that support both compliance and operational performance. Her ability to build strong professional relationships, combined with her broad industry experience, allows her to work effectively with clients across a wide range of projects and environments.

Monica’s leadership style is people-focused and solutions-driven, helping organisations move beyond compliance to embed safety as a practical and valued part of everyday operations.

James Brown
James BrownOperations Manager & Senior Consultant
James is a highly experienced WHS professional with more than 25 years of practical experience across industries including rail, power, water, communications, civil construction, maintenance, and building.

Throughout his career, James has developed extensive expertise in risk assessment workshops, WHS system development and implementation, auditing and inspections, mentoring, and incident investigations, with a particular focus on ICAM methodologies. His approach to safety is practical, solutions-focused, and grounded in real operational experience.

James is well regarded for his technical knowledge, practical problem-solving abilities, and his ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of an organisation. He is known for building strong working relationships quickly, allowing him to engage teams, support leadership, and influence positive safety outcomes across complex projects and environments.

In addition to his consulting experience, James spent four years in a senior management role as NSW/ACT Operations Safety Manager, further strengthening his leadership, operational, and strategic safety experience.

As Operations Manager and Senior WHS Consultant at Red Insight, James brings a calm, practical, and highly experienced approach to workplace health and safety, helping clients develop systems and processes that are effective, achievable, and workable in the field.

Carrie Loughnan
Carrie LoughnanBrand and Marketing Manager
With over 18 years of experience across sales, marketing, recruitment, account management, and business development, Carrie brings a strong commercial and relationship-focused perspective to Red Insight in her role as Brand and Marketing Manager. Her career has been built around building trusted client relationships, understanding business needs, and delivering genuine, high-quality customer experiences.

Carrie also brings a creative edge to the business, having studied Arts at Capilano University in Vancouver, Canada. Her background in the arts continues to influence her approach to branding, communication, and marketing, combining creativity with practical business strategy.

Known for her ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, Carrie plays a key role in shaping Red Insight’s brand presence, client engagement, marketing strategy, and business growth initiatives.

Having travelled to nearly 30 countries and lived in cities including Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, Sydney, New York City, and Melbourne, Carrie has developed a highly adaptable and open-minded approach that supports her ability to connect with people from all backgrounds.

Her combination of commercial experience, creativity, and people-focused communication makes her an integral part of the Red Insight team and the continued growth of the business.
